In a sharp counterattack against opposition PDP, J and K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday called the party as "completely irresponsible" and told bluntly that he was not "would be locked in" by their "vicious" campaign for his removal.
"They've always been uncomfortable with me. They never the idea of my being the Chief Minister was," Mr. Omar said in answer to questions on whether PDPs for his resignation in the wake of the death of a National Conference (NC) Syed Yusuf Haji employee in custody.
PDP led by father-daughter duo of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti "was willing to anything for me to keep the power to sacrifice," he said, adding, "It will do everything to overthrow my government, regardless consequences for them or for the state. "
Referring to the political maneuvers that the parliamentary elections in 2008, none of the three main parties, the Congress, PDP and NC, received a clear majority succeeded Mr. Omar said that PDP had made offers to Congress to be a part of a coalition to which they would not even some ministries.
Therefore PDP's bitterness against NC was not surprising, "but they do not realize that I will not be locked in like this," Mr Omar told PTI.
It was "deeply frustrating" for the state PDP-Congress coalition government in NC one of his best years had decades in development, peace and tourism, he said.
The fact that the state had very successful elections to Panchayats which were now authorized to have, "was something they are uncomfortable with," Mr Omar said.
The exclusion of his dismissal, the Chief Minister said he would not succumb to "enemies" want to overthrow him for doing his duty to the people of the state.
"That's not the way I am made. I have learned differently by my parents. I went to a school whose motto was 'never give up' and I'm certainly not going to admit this," he said.
Mr Omar was asked several questions about the events of September 29 when Yusuf and the two other NC workers were called to his home in Srinagar. The two workers, Abdulsalam Mohammed Yusuf Bhat and Reshi, Yusuf had complained that Rs one crore was taken from them for getting their membership of the Legislative Council or Minister ships.
Say that the days of the events in his official residence, Mr Omar said that when he thought the accusations against Yusuf was a serious to merit a police case, he immediately had asked Secretary of State for Home Nasir Wani to call the IG (Crime) Raja Aijaz and the hand of the three to him, so the police could go in this case.
"As for me, my involvement in this case ended at that point. It's just a shame that the next day Haji Yusuf died of a heart attack and the political opposition has tried to make a controversy out of it," he said.
